MADISON, Wis. (AP) – Three G&J cocoa products wrapped up for Christmas sale are being recalled as they possibly contain hazardous industrial chemical melamine. According to the Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP), the products were sold countrywide at Shopko and Big Lots stores. The three products are G&J Hot Cocoa Stuffer, G&J His and Hers Hot Cocoa Set and G&J Cocoa in French vanilla and double chocolate flavors. The recall was announced by DATCP on Monday. The department said that no health problems linked to the products have been reported so far, although a few samples tested positive for melamine. Dorsey Marketing Inc. of Ville St. Laurent, Quebec is voluntarily recalling the products. DATCP has asked the consumers to return the products to the store where they purchased them. The consumers will be refunded.
