With federal safety officials involved, GM says the brake lights on some of these vehicles may stop working or could even remain on when they should be off. Brake lamps that don’t work could cause your truck to be rear-ended if the vehicle following you does not realize you are braking your truck. What is worse, GM says that if the vehicle has cruise control, that function also can become inoperative. And the brake problem also can affect the high center mounted brake light and any attached trailer brake lights that are wired into the truck’s brake light system. If you own any of these potential lemon GM trucks or lemon Chevrolet trucks or lemon Isuzu vehicles, you may be entitled to your money back or a new vehicle.
